What matters isn't how much faith you have but what you're putting your faith in.

I don't trust the Christian faith because it's emotionally satisfying. ... To me, the best explanation of how the entire world works is the Christian story. It makes the most sense to me out of everything. It gives me incredible life to live my life well. But it shows me actually how to fix and love our world. It makes amazing sense.
If you think about ideas of Tesla, maybe going to Mars, of Elon Musk, Facebook, artificial intelligence — I think all of that is easy. We can do it. Let me tell you what's really hard — issues of race, issues of gender, issues of equity, issues of justice, issues of war, issues of pain, understanding beauty. Those are the things we aren't getting.
