Andrew Schuman
Andrew serves as the Executive Director of The Veritas Forum, where he is responsible for leading Veritas into its next season of growth and effectiveness. Previously, Andrew served as the Director of Veritas Labs, where he launched and scaled new programming to extend and deepen Veritas' mission across university life. Prior to Veritas, Andrew founded the award-winning Dartmouth Apologia publication, the Augustine Collective network of Christian thought journals, and the Eleazar Wheelock Society at Dartmouth College. He also helped to launch the Life Worth Living initiative at the Yale Center for Faith and Culture. Andrew received an MBA in Nonprofit Management and an MAR in History of Christianity from Yale University. He received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences and Philosophy from Dartmouth College. Andrew lives in the Boston area with his wife Caitlin and their two sons.
Michael Lee
Michael Lee serves as the Chief Operating Officer of The Veritas Forum, where he leads finance, accounting, HR, general operations, and anything else Veritas needs. Prior to Veritas, he served for five years as the COO of campus ministry Christian Union. Previously, Mike spent nearly twenty years in the private sector, most recently as the COO/CFO of multiple early- and mid-stage technology companies. He has also led finance teams at Amazon and Citigroup.
Mike holds an AB from Harvard, where he attended his first Veritas Forum event in 1996. He also has an MBA from Cornell, where he started the Johnson School Christian Fellowship. He and his wife Olivia live in Manhattan with their three daughters.
Ashley Byrd
Ashley Byrd is the Director of Forums and leads the effort to support campus partners to design and host forums that model discourse about life’s biggest questions across different worldviews characterized by intellectual humility and rigor. Previously, Ashley served as Regional Director for Veritas, where he coached planning teams in New York and New Jersey.
As a graduate of Columbia University, he developed a love for the campus that led him to serve students and faculty there as a Religious Life Advisor through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for 17 years. Ashley currently lives with his wife Carly and his daughters in Kailua, Hawaii.
Bethany Jenkins
Bethany Jenkins is Vice President of Media at The Veritas Forum. She has also worked in Congress, at the State Department, on Wall Street, in Big Law, at The Gospel Coalition, and at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York. Carol Fausnaught
Carol serves as Vice President of Development at The Veritas Forum. Prior to joining the Veritas team, she worked for Christian Union as the Vice President of Development and for the business consulting divisions of IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Price Waterhouse. Carol holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Princeton University and a Masters of Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Williamsport, PA with her husband and three children. In her free time, you will find her cheering on her kids from the bleachers or running on a snowy trail.
Dan Cho
Dan serves as Vice President of Asia for The Veritas Forum and is spearheading new developments in universities across the region. Dan's relationship with Veritas dates back to his freshman year at Harvard when he attended the very first Forum. Most recently, he served as executive director of Veritas for eight years before assuming this role overseeing initiatives in Asia. Dan has also worked in the development offices of Harvard and MIT and is an active staff member of Antioch Baptist Church in Cambridge. In addition to earning an A.B. from Harvard College in social anthropology, Dan has also received master's degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Yale Divinity School. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and two daughters.
Jared Daugherty
Jared Daugherty is Vice President of the Veritas Scholars Program at The Veritas Forum. Jared received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science with a concentration on Security, Peace, and Conflict from Duke University and received his Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies with a minor in Music from Dartmouth College. He has over 10 years of experience working in the government- and non-profit sector, with a sustained interest in the intersection of religion, security, and citizenship. Prior to coming to Veritas, he worked as a strategy consultant at Ernst & Young. Jared lives in Virginia with his wife and daughter.
Peter Blair
Peter serves as the Program Director for the Augustine Collective at The Veritas Forum, helping to support student publications at universities across the country. While attending Dartmouth College, he was the third editor-in-chief of The Dartmouth Apologia, one of the first publications in the Augustine Collective network. After graduating, Peter served as a writer and an editor at The American Interest, a magazine of politics and culture in Washington, DC. He then joined Thomistic Institute, an academic institute in DC, where he was the Campus Program Coordinator. Peter occasionally writes on a freelance basis, and he tweets at @PeterAWBlair.
Alison Bloodworth
Alison serves as the Development Writer for The Veritas Forum. Prior to Veritas, she worked as Development Director for the Nashville Coaching Coalition. Previously, she spent 15 years in youth, college student, and young adult ministry. During that time, she also helped lead a Fellows Program for recent college graduates focused on Christian discipleship and leadership development in her home state of Georgia. Alison is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University. She lives in Nashville with her husband Drew and son Eli where they enjoy music, hiking, serving with their church family, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
Carley Reigle
Carley serves as Podcast Production Manager for Veritas Media at The Veritas Forum. Before joining the Veritas staff, Carley earned bachelor's degrees in Atmospheric Science and Communication at Cornell University. During her time at Cornell, Carley worked on the editorial staff at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and wrote for Claritas, Cornell's journal of Christian thought. She now lives with her husband in Durham, North Carolina. In her free time, Carley enjoys reading fiction and taking photos of interesting clouds.
Emma Abernathy
Emma serves as the Program Manager for the Scholars Network at The Veritas Forum. Prior to joining Veritas, Emma worked for a venture capital firm funding subject matter experts and in church technology sales. She has held various roles with several nonprofits, including Young Life, the Institute for Biblical Research, and the Lanier Theological Library, a research library in Houston specializing in Biblical archeology, facsimiles, linguistics, and church history. Emma holds a B.S. from the University of Texas and an M.Div. from Houston Christian University. Emma currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Nathan, and enjoys hiking near the beach.
Haley Fernandes
Haley serves as the Director of Operations & Strategic Initiatives, where she facilitates strategic collaborative projects and works to implement the cohesion of Veritas Forum's operational systems. She brings experience as a Higher Education administrator and a consultant for nonprofit organizations. Haley holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and a MS in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University. She lives on Cape Cod with her husband and rescue dog Koda.
Karen Gehl
Karen serves as Development Director at The Veritas Forum. Before joining the Veritas team, Karen served as Director of Alumni and Parent Programs at Wheaton College (IL), and prior to that as General Manager with The Regus Group.
Karen holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Wheaton College. She resides in Murfreesboro, TN with her husband Mark. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, long-distance cycling, and anything that allows her to be outdoors.
Laura Valentino
Laura serves as the Senior Director of Development Services at The Veritas Forum, bringing over a decade of Development experience and cross-departmental competencies to the team. Prior to joining Veritas, she worked for Christian Union in the same role and served as Associate Director in the Development and Planned Giving offices at Wheaton College. Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Theology from Wheaton College. She lives in Bartlett, IL with her husband and five children.
Moriah Hawkins
Moriah serves as Program Manager for the Augustine Collective at The Veritas Forum. Prior to joining Veritas, she was assistant editor at First Things, a journal of religion and public life in New York City. She holds a BA in English from Baylor University and an MAR in Religion and Literature from Yale Divinity School. Moriah currently lives in New Haven, Connecticut, where in her free time she enjoys kayaking in Connecticut’s many waterways.
Pamela Yi
Pam has over 20 years of experience working in finance, investor relations, and analytical roles. She spent the first 17 years of her career at various corporations including Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, and Viacom. She has held finance roles at several non-profits, including Christian Union. Pam is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a BS in Finance and Information Systems. She lives in Queens, NY with her husband, Wayne, and her three kids.
Seth Bollinger
Seth serves as the Video Production Manager for Veritas Media at The Veritas Forum. Before joining the Veritas staff, Seth earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. At Cornell, Seth served on the E-Board of Cornell Marketing Organization and served as Editor-in-Chief of Claritas, Cornell’s journal of Christian thought. Seth was also involved with Chesterton House and Christian Union, two ministries at Cornell. He now lives with his wife in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In his free time, Seth enjoys running, video freelance work, and reading.
Steve Moore
Steve Moore is the CEO Emeritus of the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, a private foundation which seeks to nurture and enrich the educational, spiritual, cultural, and social life of individuals, families, and communities with particular interest in the Pacific Northwest. An alumnus of McMurry University, Asbury Theological Seminary, St. Andrews University, and the University of Michigan, he did post-grad work at Hebrew University and Harvard University and was a visiting scholar at Oxford University. Dr. Moore teaches, researches and writes in the areas of world religions, pluralism, ethics and leadership studies. He has written and edited seven books including University Through the Eyes of Faith and Cultivating Thoughtful Faith. Steve currently consults with foundations, leaders, and boards.He is married to Thanne and they are proud parents of five children.
Teal Wojcicki
Teal is University Engagement Director and Director of Student Development, Forums, for The Veritas Forum, jumping into Forum planning and student engagement with great excitement. After earning her BA in English at the University of Mary Washington, Teal earned her MA in Religion from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Teal spent a rewarding five years as a Ministry Fellow at Harvard University with Christian Union before joining the team. She lives with her husband Jeff north of Boston where they are always on the hunt for delicious coffee and new running routes.
Timothy Crouch
Timothy serves as Forums Program Manager for The Veritas Forum. Before joining Veritas, he has pastored college students at Rice University, served as a worship leader and church musician, and directed operations for the Credo Festival. He holds a BMus in Viola Performance from Rice University and an MTS in Bible from Duke Divinity School.
Timothy and his wife Sophia now live near Ann Arbor, MI. They spend their free time cycling and kayaking around Southeast Michigan, reading (preferably with large mugs of tea or coffee in hand), and playing with their two cats, Clive and Staples.
