A Discussion on Belief, Doubt, and Coping with Existence
As students, we rarely talk about religion. It can feel outdated, close-minded, or just irrelevant. Yet for thousands of years, humans have been a religious species looking beyond ourselves in search of meaning. Should religion still matter today? And is it simply a coping story, or could it point to something real? Our speakers with wrestle with belief, doubt, and how their Christian and agnostic worldviews help them find meaning. This will be a moderated discussion followed by student Q&R time.

A dialogue about what the classic, philosophy, and ancient religion traditions have to tell us about how to live a flourishing life. Featuring Dr. Jed Atkins, the inaugural director and dean of the School of Civic Life and Leadership at the University of North Caroline and Dr. Peter Struck, Professor and Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
