A Conversation on Dignity, Faith and Agency in an Age of AI Overlords

It feels like AI rules the world right now: our economy, job prospects, and personal interactions are becoming mediated by giant technology companies. As college students, sometimes it feels like tech CEOs have more control over our lives than we do. In a world where AI threatens to replace us, how do we avoid nihilism about the future? Does life matter or are we cogs in a machine?

A conversation about spirituality and the phone-based life.

It's hard to figure out what to do with our phones—text our friends, play Wordle, or waste time scrolling TikTok. But it's even harder to figure out what our phones are doing to us. Are they making us more confident or more anxious? More self-expressive or more self-conscious? Are they helping or distracting us in our journey to self-discovery? This discussion is about the effects of technology on our personal and spiritual lives and what we can do about it.

Wolfnights Wraps and Insomnia cookies will be provided.
