The Thrill of the Chaste
A Conversation with Dawn Eden

Sex can bring pleasure -- but does it bring joy? Why would a 31-year old unmarried rock journalist in New York City embrace chastity? Dawn was a columnist for Salon, Billboard, and Mojo, and she is now the deputy news editor at the New York Daily News. After a dramatic conversion to Christian faith in 1999, Dawn traded the incessant pursuit of gratification for the thrill of chastity. For Dawn, chastity is not simply a “no” to sex, but a “yes” to living out all the graces one has been given by God as a human being made in God’s image. Dawn is the author of The Thrill of the Chaste: Finding Fulfillment While Keeping Your Clothes On (2007). She will speak, followed by a question and answer period.
