Dr. Raymond Woller graduated from Brown University and earned a PhD at the University of Iowa, where he did his dissertation, "Science and Metaphysics: Harre's Philosophy of Science," with Dr Laird Addis. After leaving his first teaching position at Kent State University, he moved into the business world of computer programming and managing applied technology. Dr. Woller returned to academia at UGA in 1994. He has published articles and book reviews in Publications of the Society for Literature and Science, Philosophy of Science, Teaching Philosophy, The Review of Metaphysics, and The Southern Humanities Review. He is a member of the American Philosophical Association; The Southern Society for Philosophy and Psychology; The Georgia Philosophical Society, of which he is a past president; and he is a fellow of the Artificial Center at UGA.
