J. Budziszewski, professor of government and philosophy at the University of Texas, Austin, is an authority on what philosophers call "natural law" and St. Paul called the law "written on the heart."  He is especially interested in conscience and moral self-deception.  His two most recent books are On the Meaning of Sex (ISI Books, 2012) and Commentary on Thomas Aquinas‚s Treatise on Law (Cambridge University Press, 2014).  Professor Budziszewski has also written several books for young people, including How to Stay Christian in College.

Professor Budziszewski earned his doctorate from Yale University in 1981, and specializes in the relations among ethical theory, political theory, and Christian theology.
