George Yancey received a B. S. in Economics from West Texas State University and a doctorate in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and received my. His research focus has been on interracial romance, racial identity, multiracial churches, anti-Christian hostility, atheism, academic bias and media bias. He has published more than a dozen books and thirty peer-review academic articles. He has taught at the University of North Texas, and is working to establish a program for Christian Studies at that institution. It will be the first center that concentrates on conducting critical, but nonhostile, research that helps Christians to better serve their communities and the larger society.
