Patrick Beretta was born In Paris, France of an Irish Mother and an Italian Father. He entered into a Catholic seminary in Ireland, while studying for a BA in Philosophy, Latin and Greek. He lived in Rome, while acquiring a Bachelor degree in theology and a Masters in Ethics. He was ordained priest in 1982, moved to California, took time off active ministry in 1990, became involved in Restaurant business and returned to ministry in 2012. Currently, he is assigned to two churches in the historic mining town of Butte Mt. His other responsibilities include chaplaincies in a hospital, two Catholic schools, and a University. He also serves on a University Board as a trustee. He writes for the Huffington Post and other publications about culture, politics, philosophy, & spirituality.
