Dr. Yousif Shamoo is Professor of Biosciences at Rice University. He has a B.S. in Biology from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University. He is a member of the Institute of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Keck Center for Quantitative Biomedical Sciences, and the Ken Kennedy Institute for Information Technology. His research areas include: Structural biology, molecular evolution, X-ray crystallography, micro evolution, and antibiotic resistance.
