David French is an attorney, author, and political commentator. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law. He is known for his work on religious rights and has served as senior counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice and the Alliance Defending Freedom. He formerly served as the president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, a non-profit that defends free speech on college campuses.

After serving as a major in the United States Army Reserve, David became a staff writer for the National Review and a senior fellow at the National Review Institute. Mr. French has published several books (his most recent is Divided We Fall: America’s Secession Threat and How to Restore our Nation) and he currently writes for The Dispatch.
