Dr. Kroeger is both a teacher and a domestic violence and gender equality activist. She
currently serves as the president of Peace and Safety in the Christian
Home, a coalition of Christians committed to providing resources and
education to eliminate domestic violence in the Christian home. She is also the founding president of Christians for Biblical Equality,
a coalition of Christians united around the belief that Scripture
supports the equality of men and women. She is the founding chair of the Women in the Bible section of the
Society of Biblical Literature and currently sits on the boards of
Trinity Christian Academy and Latham School.
Dr. Kroeger's studies are focused on women in ancient religion,
human sexuality and biblical mandate, women of the Bible, women in the
early church, Africans in the Bible and early church, Christian response
to domestic abuse and the social world of the early church. She enjoys swimming, gardening, being a
grandmother and, formerly, working as a trainer for the American Red
Cross in lifesaving adapted aquatics.
