Sweetweets, May 29, 2007 | 3:49 pmUm, typo alert: You refer to the "rots of religion." I'm sure that's consistent with what Dawkins and Dennet think about religion, but somehow I don't think that's what you intended to say. :)
jared, Jul 7, 2007 | 5:56 pmDavid Helfand found wall of Jericho falling down because of the trumpets blown, ‘silly’ because it seems so improbable. So that leads him from being a Christian to become an atheist. Sir John Polkinghorne said that Darwinian evolution is unlikely as hitting a one square inch target in the other side of the universe BULL’S EYE! Which is more improbable/sillier? I find Darwinian evolution is ‘sillier’ than the wall of Jericho falling down because of the trumpets. If the measurement of ‘silliness’ guides Helfand to make him to choose which is correct/wrong, why does David Helfand follow the ‘sillier’ idea?
tchin, Nov 20, 2007 | 7:06 pmI got to correct myself. Sir John Polkinghorne was talking about the first 3 second of universe and not about evolution. He said it's extension and contraction of the universe after the big bang to have the universe as it is now, so precise to have the universe that we have today. He said its precision is equal to hitting a one square inch target in the other side of the universe BULL’S EYE! Nevertheless, this happening by chance is indeed 'silly' for David Helfand, no?
