Is Science All We Need? Two Perspectives Part 1 of 2
 Philip Kitcher
Summary: Since the late 19th century, “science” has ruled the academy. Breakthroughs in the physical sciences have revolutionized the way we live, also offering new ways of looking at ourselves and the world. What is the state of science in the academy today? Is it still the best means for assessing reality? Does it have satisfying answers for life’s biggest questions? A scientist, Christian by faith, and a secular humanist address these questions tonight. This event was moderated by Robert Pollack, Director of the Center for the Study of Science and Religion at Columbia University.
