Summary: After considering the issues of violence and poverty, it becomes apparent that American attitudes about the world are in need of major reform. Yet how to conduct this reform is not immediately clear. Can lasting change occur through the reform of social practices and institutions, or only by the transformation of individuals? The panelists will discuss how to effectively deal with being either a powerful individual or a powerless one.
