For deist, God exists but He’s on a ‘long trip’ and does not participate in the universe after the creation was finished. But what deist forgets is that God is beyond time and not bounded by time. So the time is something that we mortals and other created beings, (even angels), are limited too. So as you read this comment, God already knew you would read this. He knew this before you were even born. I would guess the most significant proof of God being beyond time, is His fingerprint of His existence is His prophecy. Other beings cannot see beyond the present in time. We can predict/estimate what will happen in the future. But His telling us what's going to happen, for example, the book of Daniel, is something man can't do. Only God can do this.
