What Is Veritas?
The Veritas Forum at the London School of Economics aims to uncover the relevance of Jesus Christ in every part of our academic and personal lives. The Forum is an opportunity for the entire university community to explore and discuss life's hardest questions – “Where is God in our world today?”, “Is there meaning in death?” and “What am I?”. By asking these pressing questions and answering them with respected university voices, we hope to engage the entire university, challenge existing worldviews, and bring to the forefront of the campus the relevance and plausibility of the Gospel in today’s world.

We, the planners of the forum, believe that the words of Jesus, and his life, present promises and challenges that are directly relevant to us all. As members of the LSE, we look to the university’s motto “Rerum Cognoscere Causas” – to know the causes of things – as we consider the world around us. We welcome and honour all who bring their own questions and doubts, and even bring some of our own. We have invited presenters who have wrestled with our questions to challenge us, connect disconnected ideas, and put forth their answers and objections in light of our beliefs and doubts. We believe the events will draw participants into real and honest conversations, questions, discussions, stories, and friendships.

We invite you to join us at the Forum as we attempt to answer these questions. We challenge you, the participants, to bring your unique and diverse backgrounds and engage with the presenters against the backdrop of one of the world’s most international learning institutions. It is our hope that as you embark on your search for truth, you will discover more of yourself and the world, and see the Gospel and Jesus in a new light.

The forum is sponsored by a collection of campus and community groups and created by a group of undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and local community members.
