Losing Hope? A Discussion on God & the Reality of Suffering

Zoom Webinar

Alan Lightman, Alister McGrath and Anne Snyder

Facebook Event

Dr. Alan Lightman, Author and MIT Professor and Physicist, and Dr. Alister McGrath, Oxford Professor of Science and Religion, discuss God and the Reality of Suffering.

Everywhere we turn, suffering confronts us. Within and without, the reality of COVID-19, the upheaval of our social and political times, and the mental health crisis is inescapable. What resources do we need to navigate our individual lives and make sense of this moment in history?

Professor Lightman and Professor McGrath, a former atheist who is now a leading Christian thinker, will be exploring questions of suffering, hope, and the possibility of God through the lenses of their individual worldviews. We look forward to a stimulating conversation moderated by Anne Snyder, public intellectual and editor-in-chief of Comment magazine.
