Veritas Forum 2018 features Dr. Charles Marsh and Dr. John M. Perkins as they address the question, "Does God Care about Justice?" Together, Marsh and Perkins co-authored Welcoming Justice: God's Movement Toward Beloved Community. We invite you to join us for an evening of lecture and dialogue informing this important conversation for our time. Marsh is the Commonwealth professor of religious studies and director of the Project on Lived Theology at the University of Virginia. He is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School and the University of Virginia, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1989. His research interests include modern Christian thought, religion and civil rights, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and lived theology. Perkins is an international speaker and teacher on reconciliation, leadership, and the philosophy of ministry known as Christian Community Development (CCD). He has served under five U.S. presidents and authored 16 books, including his autobiography "Let Justice Roll Down". Perkins has been recognized for his work in reconciliation with 14 honorary doctorates from colleges and universities across the country.
