How Daryl Davis Convinced 200 Racists To Leave The KKK

New York University

When the moral psychologist Jonathan Haidt was asked how do you bridge a divide with someone who advocate for white supremacy he said that we have an example in Daryl Davis. Davis is a black Blues musician who builds friendships with members of White Supremacy organization. Through this he has helped convince over 200 white supremacists to renounce their ideology and leave their organizations. He will be joined by on of these men, Jeff Schoep former director of Neo-Nazi organization who is now a Human Rights Advocate.

The night will consist of presentations by Daryl and Jeff, a Q&A session, moderated dialogue with special guest Rabbi Yehuda Sarna, and a musical piece by Davis taking us through a history of rock'n roll.

We will have optional table discussions afterwards with cookies from Spot Dessert.
