The Arabic Spring must have caught your attention. Citizens in the Arabic world rebelled against their suppressing rulers. What motivated them? Freedom? Democracy? And what will happen next, now that those suppressing leaders have been removed. Will a democratically chosen government bring stability? Is our beloved democracy the most suitable political system for the Arabic culture? How do religion and democracy get along with each other? A question that is also very relevant for our multicultural Western world.
