An exploration of one of the most exciting theoretical questions in contemporary biological science, which is also crucially related to biblical faith: is genetic selection able to produce creatures capable of genuine sacrifice for others, and if humans have the ability to love at radical cost to themselves, does this make them uniquely transcendent?
