Grace Akallo

Former Child Soldier, Author, World Vision Peace Advocate

Abducted by Ugandan rebels at age 15 to be a child-soldier, Grace Akallo is now a college student in Boston and a peace activist for World Vision. She has testified before Congress on her story of abuse and survival to mobilize efforts to end the ongoing 20-year-war in Uganda. Her story is told in Girl Soldier: A Story of Hope for Northern Uganda's Children.
