Professor Andrew Briggs



Andrew Briggs is Professor of Nanomaterials at the University of Oxford and Director of the Quantum Information Processing Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration. He is a Professorial Fellow of St Anne's College, an Emeritus Fellow of Wolfson College, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Microscopical Society, a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, and has over 450 publications. He is currently pursuing the application of nanomaterials to quantum computing. He has a degree in theology from Cambridge, and is a qualified pilot.
