Fred Johnson

Fred Johnson received his undergraduate degree from Bowie State University in Maryland, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Kent State University. He is a Professor of History at Hope College, where he teachers American and African history. Fred's research is on military and diplomatic history, focusing on the historical relationship between the United States and African nations. He is currently working on a book, "Eagle on the Continent: U.S. Foreign Policy in East Africa, 1945 to Present." Random House was published two critically acclaimed novels by Fred, "Bittersweet" (2002) and "A Man Finds His Way" (2003).
