Douglas Estes



Dr. Estes holds a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Nottingham, UK. Prior to his postgraduate work in theology, which includes his doctorate and two Masters degrees (MDiv and ThM), Douglas earned an undergraduate degree in Chemistry. He has worked in the field of analytical chemistry, and has co-authored two winning NASA contract proposals. He has written for a number of journals including Faith and Mission, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, and Review of Biblical Literature. He is a document editor for the Online Critical Pseudepigrapha, and a member of the Society of Biblical Literature. His first book, The Temporal Mechanics of the Fourth Gospel, is forthcoming in early 2008 from Brill. His second book is forthcoming late 2008, and will be published by Zondervan, a division of HarperCollins. His wife Noël is a Marriage and Family Therapist and they have one son, Wyatt.
