Top Questions - April 2011

You both seem to realize the limits of your own knowledge. For one of you, this has led to faith in God and for the other, it has led to a lack of faith. In both cases, you have had to make a "leap of faith" in deciding whether or not to believe in God. How has uncertainty in your faith either added to or diminished your belief in God? Does the mystery of faith further your belief or your disbelief?

The debate sparked a surprising amount of agreement between the two sides rather than conflict. With that in mind, do you think it is possible to ask the "big questions" without taking a position about the existence of God?

How are you both so confident and ardent about your beliefs when question about the existence of God cannot ever be proved one way or the other?
