Presenters: David Batstone, Founder and President, Not For Sale Campaign

David Batstone is the founder and president of the Not For Sale Campaign, which aims to recruit, educate, and mobilize an international grassroots social movement that effectively combats human trafficking and slavery through “smart activism.” It deploys innovative solutions for every individual to re-abolish slavery -- in their own backyards and across the globe.

Batstone will speak on the ways his vocation as professor, businessman, and investigative-journalist have conjoined in his career as an anti-slavery activist. Working through economic, political and cultural channels, the Not For Sale Campaign has evolved into a powerful movement to end modern-day slavery. Batstone will discuss the ways he's brought his unique skills to bear on one of the greatest human rights issues of our day, and will challenge the audience to engage their passions with the needs of the world in a similar way.
