City of God? Christianity, Judaism and Islam in the Public Square

May 7, 2009 at (TBD)
(location TBD)
Presenters: Rabbi Naftali Brawer
Rt Rev Michael Nazir-Ali
Tariq Ramadan

The relationship between religion and the public square is among the most charged issues of our day. The Abrahamic faiths – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, which together account for more than half the world’s population – approach this relationship in distinct and innovative ways. What are their differences? Their similarities? And is there room for collaboration in an increasingly secular society? At this Veritas Forum at the University of Oxford, distinguished representatives of the three traditions will offer their view on God, man and politics, and why it should matter to us.
