Robert George on Natural Law, God, and Human Dignity
September 16, 2010 at 07:30 PM
Phillips Hall in Siebens Building
Presenters:
Robert P. George
, Professor of Jurisprudence and Founder and Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University
Is there any shared basis for our understanding of the world? Of course, we can do science, but what about ethics? Do we have to resort to ineffective conversations or bloodshed? Robert George articulates how he believes God has provided humanity with an underlying rationality, a natural law, from which we can derive several truths about how we should live our lives.
