Poverty and the Creative Response: Micro-Finance and Economic Development
February 10, 2005 at (TBD)
(location TBD)
Presenters:
David Porteous
Are you friends with people who are poor? What does "good news" mean for the poor? How do we think about economic justice at the policy-level? Is microcredit "good news" for the poor? In this engaging and personal talk, David asks these probing questions to guide our thinking about poverty and what we can do. Drawing on his professional experience from running microcredit and affordable housing organizations internationally, David explores theoretical as well as practical approaches to thinking and doing something about poverty.
